Wood Snow Fence – A fence blocks the wind of snow and prevents the accumulation of snow that forms in your yard. The fence is installing quite easily once you determine where it should be placing. Consider the height of the fence and the size of the openings in the fencing material when you select the fence from the snow. Each of these variables affects the effectiveness of the fence. Determine the installation area for your fence.
It should be installed against the wind of the most common snow deviation zone, perpendicular to the direction of prevailing winds. Keep in mind that moving will continue to form leeward from the snow fence. Up to a distance of 35 times the height of the wood snow fence. Install a wooden stake on the ground at one end of the installation area. Hit the stake 2 1/2 feet into the ground with a driver fencing posts.

Stop every few inches to check and see if the fence post is level using a carpenter’s level. Straighten it if necessary. Install a wood snow fence post every 8 feet in this manner. Unroll the fencing material and place one end of the fence in the first set. Leave at least 5 inches between the ground and the bottom of the fence. Place the fencing to the stake with a hand stapler.
